Vegetable Poppers Recipe







Ingredients

For the batter

1/4 cup plain flour
1 tbs cornflour
1/2 tsp pepper powder
a pinch of salt
1/2 cup water


For the poppers

2 cups of mixed vegetables (finely chopped cabbage, capsicum, beans, and carrot and also peas and corn kernels)
1/2 cup mashed potatoes
1/2 cup cheddar cheese
2 tbs chopped coriander leaves
1 tbs ginger, garlic and chilli paste
salt to taste
1/2 tsp pepper powder
1 tsp chilli flakes
1/2 tsp rose mary
1 tsp pizza seasoning
1 tsp chaat masala
1/2 cup bread crumbs
 1 cup rusk powder (for coating)
oil for frying


Method
 
For preparing the batter, combine plain flour, corn flour, salt and pepper in a bowl and add water and mix well to form a batter.keep this aside.

Take another bowl, add cabbage, capsicum, beans,  carrot, peas, corn, mashed potatoes and coriander leaves.
Add ginger, garlic and chilli paste
Add cheddar cheese to this vegetable mix.
Then add salt,pepper, chilli flakes, rosemary, pizza seasoning, chaat masala and mix well with hands.
Add bread crumbs and mix well,so that all ingredients are well combined.
Make small balls with this mix and place it on a plate.
Dip each ball in the batter and roll it in the rusk powder and coat well.
Deep fry these vegetable poppers.
Serve hot as a starter or snack.
