Turmeric Latte


 Ingredients(serves 2)

2 cups cow milk

1 tsp turmeric powder

1 tsp dry ginger powder

1/4 tsp nutmeg powder

1/4 tsp cinnaamon powder

1 tsp crushed pepper

1 green cardamom, crushed

1 tsp garden cress seeds/aliv/halim, soaked for 8 hrs

Palm jaggery/sugar as per sweet preference (optional)

Method

In a sauce pan, add turmeric, dry ginger, pepper, cardamom, nutmeg and cinnamon.

Pour milk to the spice mix and bring it to a boil.

Simmer for 2 minutes.

Turn off the stove and add palm jaggery and stir till it dissolves.

Strain the mix and add soaked garden cress seeds and drink it warm.
