Instant karolappam/unniyappam







Ingredients
2 cups rice flour
1 cup water
400 gms palm jaggery
1 tsp black sesame seeds
1/2 cup grated coconut
1/4 tsp cardomom powder
1/2 cup mashed bananas
Coconut oil for frying
Ghee for frying

Method
In a saucepan, add water and jaggery and stir continuously till the jaggery melts.
In a bowl add rice flour, sesame seeds, grated coconut, mashed bananas and cardomom powder and mix well.
To this add the melted jaggery water (in room temperature) and combine well without
any lumps.
Heat the appam pan and pour in coconut oil and ghee mix in each mould.
 Pour a small ladle of batter in each mould and cook on medium flame till it turns golden brown in colour.
It can be served as a snack as well as a dessert.
