THE CHOCOLATE OVERLOAD CAKE

ingredients
1 ½ cup plain flour
150 gm. Butter, softened
¼ cup cocoa powder 
1 tsp. baking powder
1 ½ cup brown sugar
4 eggs

250 ml. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 cup chocolate cream cheese icing, for frosting the cake (optional)
1 bar plain chocolate, powdered, for garnishing ( I used Dairy Milk)
Method
Sift the flour, cocoa and baking powder twice and keep it aside.
Beat butter and sugar with a hand blender, till it is soft and creamy.
In another bowl, beat the eggs, till it doubles in quantity. Add this to the sugar mix slowly and mix in the vanilla.
Add the sour cream and dry ingredients and mix gently, using a wooden spatula.
Pour the mix into a greased spring form pan and bake for 35 minutes (or till an inserted tooth pick comes out clean) at 200 C in a pre-heated oven.
When the cake cools down, remove it from the spring form pan and frost the cake with chocolate cream cheese icing and garnish with powdered chocolate or chocolate scrolls.
Note:
Ready-made sour cream and cream cheese are available in leading outlets. But you can make both sour cream and cream cheese at home too.
