1 ½ cups plain flour
½ cup icing sugar
½ cup brown sugar
½ cup butter
1 large egg
Zest of 1 orange
1 tbsp. orange juice
1 tsp. cinnamon powder
Method
With a hand blender, beat brown sugar and butter to a soft
and creamy mix.
Add eggs, cinnamon powder, orange zest and juice and icing
sugar and beat well.
Add flour to this mix, and with your hands, knead the mix
into soft dough.
Grease a rectangular oven safe tray, place the dough in its
centre and press with your hands and spread the dough to cover the entire tray.
Pre-heat the oven at 180 C.
Bake the biscuit for 20 minutes. Cool them completely.
Cut the biscuits lengthwise (about the size of an adult’s
index finger).
Place them on a greased baking tray and bake again till they
are crispy. (In LG microwave oven, bake for 35 minutes at 180 C).
